About Paul Wallem

Image

After a long and successful career as an executive with International Harvester, owner of two IH equipment franchises, and owner of a certified financial planning firm, Paul Wallem started a career as an author. His first book, Private Wings, was an homage to his lifelong love of flying. His second book, The Break Up - What Really Happened, examined the fall of International Harvester through the voices of former dealers and IH executives, farmers and IH collectors. Paul's third book, Free Ranch, published in 2020, was his first novel. In it, Paul combined his boyhood dream of owning a large ranch, his love of private aviation and his passion for refurbished Farmall tractors to weave the story of a retired businessman who inherits a Wyoming ranch. It takes every ounce of his protagonist's business acumen to meet the challenges of cattle rustlers, dishonest employees, and a murder on his ranch. The fourth publication Successes & Industry Firsts is selling worldwide and details the many products that International Harvester created first in the industry.

Paul lives in Rockford, Illinois.
